I felt awkward at church today. I know a large part of it was due to my outburst two weeks ago, but I think I'm also holding back because I know we'll only be here for ten months. I don't want to settle in and get emotionally invested in friends that I'll be moving away from once again. But, on the other hand, I don't like feeling that way. I wish I could just will myself to buck up and jump in to the friendship-making mode.

I'm reading "Fahrenheit 451" by Ray Bradbury this week for my sci-fi class. Has anyone else read that? Thoughts?

I never read 451. I think I tried watching the movie but it was soooo 1960s (I know, wasn't the book written at that time?) and you know the acting from the 60s is nowhere near as good as a book written in that era. I couldn't get through it. Guess I should read the book!
