The president of the Latter-Day Saint church, Gordon B. Hinckly
died this evening. It has been clear in the past several times we've seen him via satellite broadcast that he hasn't been well. He was 97 years old and had lived a full and amazing life. He's been in the leadership of our church for my whole life. Fortunately, our church has a very set process in place for replacing the president. It is already known who it will be, so unlike the Catholic church (for example), it will be a quick process and not one of long deliberation.
In other news, we've had 13 inches of snow fall over the past 24 hours! It is a new record!! I think it's pretty cool that we got to live here for a record breaking snow fall year. It hasn't snowed this much (in a 24 hour period) in over 50 years. School has been canceled for tomorrow. Petey's very disappointed, lol. He really does love school. To top it off, we are suppose to have snow everyday this week as well.
Chris and I built a snowman today. The boys were out there with us as we did it, but they were working on their own projects. I thought it was funny that Chris and I were the ones that really wanted to get this thing built. He said "Looks like we are finally fulfilling our childhood dreams." That was the first snowman Chris' ever built :) He was in charge of the head and it looked so good, perfectly round.

Here are some more pics of the snow, not that you can tell much. It's just white, white, white.
