The president of the Latter-Day Saint church, Gordon B. Hinckly died this evening. It has been clear in the past several times we've seen him via satellite broadcast that he hasn't been well. He was 97 years old and had lived a full and amazing life. He's been in the leadership of our church for my whole life. Fortunately, our church has a very set process in place for replacing the president. It is already known who it will be, so unlike the Catholic church (for example), it will be a quick process and not one of long deliberation.

In other news, we've had 13 inches of snow fall over the past 24 hours! It is a new record!! I think it's pretty cool that we got to live here for a record breaking snow fall year. It hasn't snowed this much (in a 24 hour period) in over 50 years. School has been canceled for tomorrow. Petey's very disappointed, lol. He really does love school. To top it off, we are suppose to have snow everyday this week as well.

Chris and I built a snowman today. The boys were out there with us as we did it, but they were working on their own projects. I thought it was funny that Chris and I were the ones that really wanted to get this thing built. He said "Looks like we are finally fulfilling our childhood dreams." That was the first snowman Chris' ever built :) He was in charge of the head and it looked so good, perfectly round.

Here are some more pics of the snow, not that you can tell much. It's just white, white, white.

Each boy was hard at work on his own individual project.

Zack was trying to build a snow fort. I think tomorrow we'll undertake that all together. I saw some people using their recycling bin to build huge bricks of snow. That would be cool, wouldn't it?

Petey kept burying his legs and pretending like he was completely buried by snow. I thought that sounded way too cold.

Josh's favorite snowy past time is eating snow. When we were at the park yesterday, he'd run a few steps, stop to scoop up a handful of snow, eat it and then run a few more steps are repeat the whole process over. He did this several times.

This cat was leaping around through our backyard. I wish I could've got him in the air, it was so cute!

YAY SNOW! I love the pics. The boys are adorable. And love the last pic.

I thought about you, some of my friends, and my cousins when I saw the LDS president died. Sorry to hear about it.
