I went to the library today (by myself! I love alone time at the library.) The sun was just beginning to go down and I was able to snap a beautiful pic of it. I also took another pic as I was leaving the library, the same scene. I got some good books at the library: 84, Charing Cross Road, Pigs in Heaven, I Should Be Extremely Happy in Your Company, & Artemis Fowl. I've been in a book slump since I finished Harry Potter. I just can't get interested in anything else. Hopefully one of these books will snap me out of it.

I loved Pigs in Heaven. Such a fantastic book. My mom got Prodigal Summer signed by Barbara Kingsolver when B visited Tucson. She went to some small independent book store for a signing. Mom said that when she got up to the table she blurted out, "My daughter and I just LOVE you!" She said that B looked at her as if she were crazy, signed the book and quickly moved to the next person.

This will be the first thing I've read by her. I'll let you know what I think :) You'd think authors would be used to people saying things like "I love your work"? hmmm.
