My mother in law gave me a gift certificate to Deseret Books, an LDS bookstore, for Christmas. I used it to purchase two beautiful works of art by Liz Lemon Swindle. Both pictures feature Christ with a child/children. I love them and can't wait to find the perfect place for them in my home!

Man...Jesus is hot. Sorry.

Date: 2008-01-04 09:00 pm (UTC)Actually, I was reading this very interesting book by Philip Yancey called "The Jesus I Never Knew". Fantastic book! Anyway, he did some research about what Jesus looks like, and supposedly (according to Yancey) He looks nothing like what we have all grown up thinking Jesus looks like. Shorter, more grubby (think of all the walking and hard work he did), calloused hands (he was a carpenter). Something about his skin too.
That's another book to add to your list. It's a wonderful, wonderful book. I wish Mike would read it.
