Zack had a couple friends over tonight for a small birthday celebration. Mario Party, pizza and cake...very low key and minimal effort on my part.
The following might be tmi for those of you who are sensitive to throw up stories...
While they ate their cake, I took the opportunity to visit the bathroom. While I was in there, I suddenly heard the boys yelling "Ewww! He threw up!!" Yup, that's right. One of the boys puked. And we are talked two peices of pizza and a big piece of cake. I can handle cleaning up my own kids puke, but when it comes to another kid I just can hardly take it. I was down there, trying to clean it up and gagging away. Chris made me get out of the kitchen and leave the mess to him, so we didn't have a puke-fest.
The kid felt fine afterwards. He didn't want to go home, or for me to call his mom, lol. He just stayed and played, no big deal :) Kids are so resilient.
And I didn't eat any of the cake.

Date: 2007-12-03 07:00 pm (UTC)I always feel guilt ridden when you say things like this! Like it's my fault, and my story's fault that you won't have kids. Cat's throw up, don't they??
I'm just giving you a hard time :) *hugs*

Date: 2007-12-03 07:05 pm (UTC)*lol* Don't ever feel guilty about this - this is just who I am, I cannot stand anything really, really gross - I just can't. You yourself said it was nasty enough that you were gagging *LOL* so you cannot begrudge me more reasons to not have kids.
Oh who knows...we'll prolly end up with a gaggle of kinder, we'll just have to wait and see. I guess what the real lesson here is that when having even small b-day parties, parents of invited children should attend as well.
Cat throw up...well, it's gross, but it's pretty much just cat food, smells pretty much the same too. Felix doesn't chew it up so when he pukes it's the exact same as it looked before eaten...only clumped together more. Cat poo, specifically Winni's, is far more nasty blech!
*hugs*
