A Leak!

While the boys were taking a bath today I heard a spattering sound coming from the basement. I went down to discover a large amount of water pouring down from the ceiling. After a bit of study, I realized it was coming from the overflow valve on the tub. After the water got lower than the valve, the leak stopped. When I drained the tub through the drain at the bottom of the tub (the usual drain) there was no leak downstairs. It almost looks like the plumbing was never attached to the overflow drain! I called my landlord and hopefully it will all be taken care of soon. However, I know she is on vacation right now. The water was flowing onto an electrical box and wires. Not a good situation. We can prevent it by not filling the tub too high, so it should be a simple problem to avoid.

Petey's temperature got up to 103 this evening. Poor kid, I hate to see him feeling so bad. I hope it is nothing serious. He has no other symptoms besides the fever.

I just called the church to tell them we were here and to have them send for our records. The guy who answered the phone is our next door neighbor! His wife is the one that told me how to close my screen door, lol. Wow, that's interesting.

The kids are playing in the basement. I send them down there when they get crazy and loud, because I can't hear them as well. Zack just broke two of their Gameboy games by stepping on them because they were so wrapped up in playing.

Good-bye Star Wars Lego 1 and Luigi's Haunted Mansion. Too bad it couldn't have been something that never gets played, like Robotech or Tony Hawk (of course, those are Chris' games and that's a whole different story.) We tell them and tell them not to leave their games on the floor. Hopefully they'll learn from this.
