Mar. 1st, 2007 06:40 amPetey lost his first tooth yesterday and the tooth fairy forgot to come last night! Shameful parenting. Fortunately, I was able to convince him that she had come, but the money was simply lost in or under his bed. I was able to slip it under his covers without him noticing and now all is well.
We've (Petey, Connor and I) have still had upset tummies. Whatever this is, it seems to be hanging on for quite a while. Of course, living in China, there is always the fear that it's some sort of parasite. Let's not even entertain that possibility.
I found a Yahoo!group for homeschooling in China! Maybe I'll find some more families in my area who homeschool. Earlier this week we went to a public school in Nanjing to see if we wanted to enroll the boys. It was a good school and I think they'd do find there, except for it takes over an hour to drive there from where we live. Two hours of driving a day is just too much. The headmaster of that school suggested that we could find a school closer to home that would be good for the kids. He gave Chris the name of a couple and we plan to check them out next week. Why are we looking at schools, you may wonder. Well, if we are going to stay here for another year, I want the kids in school so they can learn Chinese. I really feel that if they could understand the language, living here would be so much easier for them. We thought we'd give school a trial run over the next couple of months, to see if it is a feasable possibility for next year.
