I've just finished reading another chapter of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe to the kids. Zack is listening politely, but Pete objects loudly each time I read it to them. He feels quite cheated by the fact that it has so few pictures. I know it is a little over his head (he's only 4 after all) but I'm determined to read the whole thing to them. We are over half way through.
I think I'll read them Goblet of Fire for our next book.
I got a new swim suit today. Is there anything as torturous as shopping for a swim suit? One of the suits was so awkward that I could hardly get it back off again. I had to literally wrestle it off myself. The whole time I was trying to tug it off, I was certain I was going to hear a loud rip. Fortunately I did get it off without tearing it. My only injury was a nice big scratch from the security tag. The suit I decided on resembles a tennis outfit, according to Chris. I like the new styles of the little skirts.
I'm reading another Bill Bryson book: In a Sunburned Country. This one is about his travels in Australia. I love his writing. It makes me laugh out loud and it is very educational. Maybe someday I will be a famous travel writer. After all, I am determined to travel the world.
