Connor has either mild pneumonia or a sinus infection. The doctor couldn't be sure which, but I believe it is a sinus infection. He did get a chest x-ray but it wasn't clear enough for the Dr. to be positive if he had pneumonia or not. While we were in the radiology dept., the technician let the older two boys come into the room with us. She did a great job of including them so that they weren't bored. She had them push a button to turn on a light and then stand behind the partition. She even gave them a stool so that they could watch Connor and I through the window. While she and I were getting Connor positioned, Petey pushed the button and X-rayed all three of us. I was slightly embarrassed, but the tech was really cool about it. She put Zack in charge of making sure Pete didn't push anymore buttons. Connor looked like a little man standing tall in front of the x-ray screen. He is so good at the doctors, very unlike the older two. I believe it is because he's so precautious by nature. He'd rather sit and study what is going on then scream and throw a fit. I've given him his first dose of antibiotics and he seems to feel much better already. He hasn't 'played' in two days, instead preferring for me to just hold him and rock him.

I'm so thankful to live in this day and age, where something like a sinus infection or mild pneumonia is so easily treated. Just think, 100 years ago a mother could lose a child to something like this.

All your boys are so interesting to read about. I don't know why I think that brothers and sisters are all going to have similar personalities. I like reading about your boys because I think you give us good insights into who they are and what makes them stand out as individuals.

It's not just you expecting brothers and sisters to be the same. I expected all my kids to be the same, too. When Connor came out looking so different, it was a shocker to all of us (he looks more like me, whereas the other two look just like Chris). I try hard to understand each kids unique-ness so that I can encourage their individual strenghts. Its difficult at times, because the trick you used on one kid (to get him to try new foods, for example) won't work on the others. Or a punishment that seems horrible to one kid (no video games) won't even phase the other. Everyday is a learning experience, that is for sure.
