I posted a few things on freecycle.com yesterday. I had some clothes and baby things that I wanted to get rid of, so I decided to give freecycle a try. I figured I could just give them to someone who needed them instead of the thrift store as I usually do. I within minutes of my post, I had responses and soon I had over 20! This morning I've already been visited by three people who came by to pick stuff up. When it became a reality that someone was coming to pick up a bag of my old clothes, I suddenly felt nervous. I remembered
blackie_fox's experience and I wondered what if she looked at my clothes and scoffed. I actually went to my closet and pulled out a couple more things. Silly, I know. Fortunately everyone who came by was kind and thankful. I got rid of some of my old clothes, some of Chris', a few pairs of nursing pj's, a baby walker, a play mat, and a crawl through tunnel. I wish I could've given the walker to my sweet sis who is pregnant, but we live too far apart. The woman who took the walker told me that her 2 year old son has Down's Syndrome and can't walk yet. That's why she was taking it. It feels good to be able to help someone out who can really use it.
