My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Every now and then I read a book that completely opens my eyes to a subject that previously I'd given little thought to. Little Bee is such a book. It delves into the issues surrounding illegal refugee immigration into the UK by telling the story of a young Nigerian girl. It is beautifully written, funny and heart-rending all at once. A memorable way to start of the new decade!
I read it because it was recommended by a reviewer on NPR.
