Aug. 8th, 2008 05:41 pmWe're suppose to go to a church campout tonight. It's currently 96 degrees and there are thunderstorms predicted for tonight. We tried to talk the kids out of it, but they feel adamant that we must go. I don't want to be a party pooper and say no. After all, camping is the stuff of memories, right? Thus, I'm going to suck it up.
But I SO don't want to go camping. Not to mention that our tent is a four person tent. We bought it for a camping trip when Josh was still a wee baby and it turned out to be crowded then. I have no idea how we'll all fit in now that we've grown so much. Maybe I'll sleep in the van. Maybe I'll drive home, sleep in bed, and be back before anyone notices.
And camping discomforts aside, it will be a bit awkward not knowing anyone at the campout. But, this is one of the reasons we should go. It's a good opportunity to meet people. Gird up your loins, Tina! You can do this.
