We do have a Wii and we love it. It is so fun, and much more physical than traditional games. One thing that I like about it is that some games have a "helper" feature. For example, my 4 y/o has a Go Diego Go game and I can use the second player controller to help him jump or gather stuff. He still feels like he's in control, but he doesn't get frustrated because the games too hard. Also, it's just fun for the whole family.
Of course, there are down sides. Just like all video games, the kids never want to turn it off :) I try to limit them to 30 minutes a day. Also, once the neighborhood kids discovered we had it, they all wanted to hang out at our house. They didn't want to play with my kids, just use the Wii. Not cool. Fortunately they got their own Wii for Christmas :)
It does look cool. Of course, I'm not sure if I'd like to see a Mii that had was built to my own measurements :) I think Wii Fit looks really fun. Our family loves Dance, Dance, Revolution so I think this would be a good pick for us too.
