I'm going to sell this chair on craigslist:

I have no idea how much to ask. It is an antique, but it has no labels or names stamped on it to give me an idea of how to research who it was made by, how old it is, etc. It isn't in perfect shape, and the legs have been scratched up a bit. I was thinking of asking $100. Is that too little, too much? Should I just take it to an antique shop and see if they'll buy it from me? Does anyone have any ideas/feedback? Thanks!!

I'm trying to get some extra money together for our spring break trip to Seattle. I've already posted a Radio Flyer stroller and my awesome jeep stroller. I hate to see that stroller go. It's almost as if, by selling it, I'm saying for certain that we are done having babies. *sniff*

how pretty! i wish i could buy it from you! we need a new chair something FIERCE!
i hate to admit it, but peppy had peed in the only chair we have...and it is in horrible shape. i got most of the pee up, but it still smells funny if you put your face into the chair :(

ugh, how embarrassing.
the upholstery is shot and i keep a slipcover on it. i want to toss it in the dumpster, but jason says no.

Well, how many times do people put their face in the chair :) Maybe you'll find one on freecycle? I wish I could give it to you. It seems like we've just been toting it around from one state to another, and it is always placed in an out of the way spot where no one really uses it.

I've already gotten an email about the stroller. Yay!

Ugh, I LOVE that chair! It's darling. I'd use it as a prop for portraits. Wish I had the disposable income, cuz I'd buy it from you. I'm not well-versed in the antique market, so I have no idea what to ask for it. Honestly, I'd probably be willing to part with $50-$75 for it, but that's just because I'm rather broke right now.

Start at $100 and if nobody bites, gradually price it down.

You're right - it'd make an awesome chair for portraits. I need to email you the shot my uncle just did. Let me go do that - this chair reminds me of the overall pic of his portrait.

OMG I love that chair! How come you've been hiding this beautiful chair? Don't sell it. Keep it and sell something else, a kidney or something, but don't sell that chair! I could design an entire living room for you based on that chair. It's gorgeous!

If you must, take it to a local dealer, get an estimate on it. Or if they're not willing, sell it for $100. Come down in price on a little and haggle with the people who are interested.

Lol, it is pretty isn't it? It actually photographs much better than it looks IRL :) But it is so heavy and honestly, it will be years before we have the money to get the upholstery redone. I'm just trying to find ways to raise funds quick. You know why :)
