Josh has stayed home from school everyday this week with a yucky cough. He hasn't run a fever (thank goodness) but his cough is somewhat "barky", so I just don't think I should send him. Today I'm suppose to volunteer in Zack's classroom, but I guess I'll have to cancel since Josh won't be going to school. I also blew off a meeting I was meant to go to yesterday evening because of Josh's illness/my school work/Chris' work load. The end of the semester is always a stressful time in our house. However, the moment it ends the mood in the house significantly lightens and we have a grand old time for a few weeks before the next semester begins.

Nothing exciting to write about. Cleaning house, doing schoolwork, reading to the kids. Just the usual stuff.

Sorry to hear that Josh is sick. I was thinking of you this morning as I listened to "Bob and Sheri" on the radio. Sheri has two little girls - Olivia who is six and Caramia who is four. Both are incredibly smart. I guess Caramia has been sick and threw up the night before. Anyway, Sheri gets up this morning to go to work and Mia comes downstairs. Sheri is torn as to what to do - go to work, call in, wake up the daddy? She's gotta get to the radio station to do the morning show. So she asks Mia what she would like and Mia said some corn chex. Sheri says, "Baby, you can't have any milk because you threw up last night." Mia says that's okay, she'll eat the cereal dry. So Sheri is torn - what's a mom to do? Her baby is sick and sitting at their kitchen island eating dry cereal at 4 a.m. So she says to Caramia, "Honey, do you want me to stay home? Do you want me to wake up daddy?" In Sheri's words, "Caramia barely looked up from her dry cereal, waved a hand at me and said, 'Go, mommy, I'll be fine. Go.' And went back to eating her cereal. As I leave, I look back in through the glass in the kitchen door I can see Caramia mouth the words, "Go, mommy, just go.""

*ROLF* I laughed so hard!!! Just last week the girls were practicing their school Christmas play and the oldest one is telling Sheri that the fourth grade class will be slaughtered during the play. They were playing cows on their way to the slaughterhouse. *lol* Now that's a Christmas pagaent I would like to see!

Anyway, it's stories like that that make me want to have kids. Every time you post art work from Zack, I think, "Man, I would love to have a kid so I can hang his/her art work all over the house."

So who knows, Miss T, maybe I'll be a mommy some day. I know it's not every day that some neighbor kid pukes in your kitchen *lol*. *HUGS* Thanks for being my OoT BFF!! (Out of Town Best Friend Forever)
