Zack attended a birthday/Halloween party tonight so we had to get his costume together earlier than we usually would. Just incase you can't see it for yourself, he's a werewolf! He wanted to be something scary this year. Initially he told me he wanted to be something with a bloody heart hanging out. Ack, what has happened to my "little" boy? When we went to look at costumes, he wasn't even interested in looking at the power ranger, batman, or Star Wars stuff. He went straight to the Scream, Jason, etc stuff. I told him no weapons, no masks, nothing bloody. I know, I'm a stiff. But to me, Halloween isn't about grossness and disturbing images. Today when I was at the Halloween store, I saw a plastic two-headed baby. One of the heads was sweet and angelic looking, and the other was a demon head. I also saw a deformed gigantic fetus. Who is going to decorate their home with those sort of things?
Ok, I'm not sure where that rant came from. I guess it's because the kids got really freaked out in the Halloween store. Anyway, we came up with the idea of werewolf and we are both happy with that. We cut up one of Chris' old shirts and some old pants of Zack's. I wanted to paint his face, but he was adamantly against that. He didn't even want me to do up his hair, but I "made" him and I think it adds a great touch :) It's strange to think that he'll be outgrowing halloween soon...or maybe he'll be outgrowing the little kid version of it.
Chris found Thrashin OnDemand. What a corny classic. Two minutes of talking for every 10 minutes of skateboarding :) Takes me back to a time in my life when I adored any boy who stood on a skateboard. I was skater crazy. I was such an idiot over boys back then.
