The modem died last night but no one figured it out until this morning. We just thought the internet was down and left it at that. I had an assignment that needed turning in and will now be late. It's all better now, thanks to the cyber-genius that is my husband :)
We bought a new (used) van last night. It's an '03 Dodge Caravan. This is the same vehicle we were driving before we left for China, just 5 years newer. This is also the first time we have financed a car since we've been married. Up until this point we have either (a) gotten cast off cars from family members or (b) paid cash for cheap cars. The cheapest car we've ever bought was a 1980 Dodge something or other that we paid $250 for. It was eventually given to Chris' brother, who sold it to a friend, who cut the top off and made a table using the roof. Back to the point: I'm very happy with our purchase. Chris talked them down from 11,000 to 8,400. When we mentioned to the kids that we were going to bargain for the van, Zack said "Dad, don't yell at them ok?" lol, Chris assured him there would be no yelling involved. Bargaining in China is completely different from bargaining in America :)
Last night MIL, step-FIL, Chris, his sis Debbie, and I went to see "Murder by the Book" presented by the community theater here in Ft. Walton Beach. It was entertaining, despite the acting. I love theater.
