The huge Thanksgiving dinner was a success. We had enough food, with one whole turkey left over. We did need more mashed potaotes, but every one got some. I think every one just wanted more, but mashed potatoes are very labor intensive, considering they have to be mashed by hand. The desserts were a success too. Every one loved the Apple Skruffs, Mom.

Today, as a reward for all our hard work this week, Mariannette and I are going into Nanjing to spend the day. No husbands, no kids, just us ladies. First up on the schedule is a facial. I've never had a facial before, but when I asked around about where I could go to get my eyebrows/lip waxed, I was told to get a facial. I'm treating Mariannette to one as her birthday gift. After facials, we are going out for lunch and then on to Christmas shopping!! I'm so excited! Of course, I want to bring home gifts everyone I've ever known. This will take some massive self restraint.

Remember the new fish we just bought? We woke up the next day to find that 3 of them had disappeared and one of them was dead. We're not sure if the dead one ate the 3 before he died, or if one of the living fish ate the three and attacked the dead one. Very Bizarre. We think it was the goldfish (still living) that did the damage, so we moved him out of the tropical fish tank and back into the goldfish bowl. Poor Zack. It was his fish that died. He's ok though, because his birthday is Tuesday and that's all he can think about. He'll be 8!
