I am so very graceful. Yes, you must all take lessons from the extreme grace that is me.

Last night we were standing around on the back patio. Barefoot. I went to take a step backwards and felt something distinctly squishy underneath my foot. It was a toad. A big fat one. I screamed and lifted my foot so as not so smash it. I had vivid images of toad guts flashing through my head. In my frantic attempt to save the toad's life, I stumbled backwards and tripped over a toy. Next thing I knew I fell flat on my butt. It was a tremendous fall- full of much flailing, yelling and pain.

I know you all envy my grace.

Grown ups aren't suppose to fall down like that! Aren't I too old to still be tripping so badly that I fall completely to the ground? This is the third time in the past two years!!

The only difference, had it been I, would be the addition of two streams of urine - one down each of my legs. I cannot stand frogs and toads. They horrify me, and my sister used to chase me with them. I know they are useful and I respect them, but I cannot stand to come into contact with them.

I hope your arse is okay, and that you didn't bruise your coccyx.

My coccyx is ok. I landed on my left hip. I guess if I was about 40 years older I probably would have broken something. But for now all I have is lovely bruise.

I don't hate toads and frogs that much. I just hate the thought of stepping on and squishing one in my barefeet. I think frogs (tree frogs) are cute. I'm sorry your sister used them to terrorize you. My hubby's dad used to terrorize him with onions (he would sneak onions into his pb&j sandwhiches--isn't that a twisted thing to do to a child?) Anyway, my hubby hates onions now. I hardly ever cook with them because he won't eat them.

I love frogs and toads - except the dead one that somehow sneaked into my car while I was in church on Sunday morning and then died in the crack of my window in the heat of the morning sun. All bug eyed and gooshy. Brought back memories of the rotting dead frog in my refridgerator.
