I found a blog written by an american living in Nanjing (ok, I'm assuming he's american. He may be Canadian or some other english speaking type). I found this entry very interesting. Apparently Nanjing can be quite polluted at times. I'm hoping that living on the edge of the city will make a difference for us.

I hope you have a more comfortable time there. Do you have a contingency plan if it is that unbearable?

We are coming home for a visit during the Christmas break. We have about 5 weeks off. If things just are not bearable for me and the kids in China, we'll stay here and Chris will go back to teach the Spring semester without us. I don't foresee that happening though. I'm hoping we'll be able to grin and bear it, whatever may arise.
