Jun. 21st, 2010 04:25 pmI'm currently reading a really good book by Cory Doctrow, Little Brother. It's about a Homeland Security crackdown after a terrorist attack in San Francisco, and how a bunch of teens work to undermine the privacy invasions by DHS. Some of the techy jargon is a little over my head--he talks a lot about hacking, math, etc, but it is still an excellent read despite that.
The point is that it is a bit creepy that this book is about privacy invasion via the Internet, and the big topic on the news today is the "Internet kill switch." Quite a coincidence. Also, the book talks a lot about Livejournal which I find cool.
Cory Doctrow is a big proponent of creative commons license. If you're so inclined, you can download the eBook version of it for free at this site. Do it! It's such a good book.
