Jun. 11th, 2008 07:35 pmSpokane has a lot of weird streets. One ways that turn into arterials that turn into two ways, for example. Today I came upon an awkward intersection that I haven't seen before so I was approaching it slowly. I had the green light, but the other side of the intersection wasn't directly across from me. It was over to the right, so I wasn't sure if that green light was for me. To add to my confusion, there were cars turning across the intersection, which if I had the right of way, shouldn't have been happening. Needless to say, I always drive carefully but especially so when I have the kids in the car. So, I kind of inched my way through the intersection trying to make sure I did indeed have the right of way and that no other cars were going to turn into me. Well, apparently my caution was just too much for Mr. I-drive-a-BMW-so-I-own-the-road to put up with. He wanted to turn right and he yelled out his window at me "Move it, Fat A$$." Then as soon as I drove past him, he roared passed me.
Why do people have to be so rude? Really, were those 5 seconds so important to him that he thought it was acceptable to yell something so hurtful to a complete stranger?
I need a hug.
