Petey woke up very congested with a barky cough. I let him stay home from school today.

On the plus side, this means all my obligations for the day were canceled and I can stay home. That's a wonderful feeling.

On the negative side, Petey has taken cold medicine and now feels much better. He is roaring to go and wants to spend the day crafting. I helped him make a butterfly craft but then I told him that I don't normally sit around making crafts all day. In other words, we weren't going to be generating a huge-crafty mess all day long. He accepted that answer with no complaint, and is now sitting at the table making up his own crafts without my help. He also told me that he wants to start his own website where he can showcase his craft creations.

Chris and I have been asked to give a presentation on Sunday evening at church about our experiences living in China.

Ack!

I've typed out a few general ideas, but I'm not quite sure what direction to take my talk in. I'm thinking about sharing some of differences and experiences that made me realize how blessed my life is. Also, to talk a little bit about the experiences that made me realize I'm made of tougher stuff than I originally thought, and also that my prayers (and those of my family and friends) were constantly answered as we were protected time and again from dangerous situations.

I'm also going to make a power point presentation to share some of the pics we took.

So, dear lj friends, here is what I desire from you. What pics did you like best and also what stories do you feel are the most entertaining/educational? Of course, I don't expect you to recall everything that I shared from that time, but if you have anything that jumps out of your memory then let me know so I can include it. I went back and read my first couple weeks there, so I do have a basic idea of what I want to talk about.

ALso, I was so much skinnier back then. *sigh* It was only a year and a half ago! That's ok. I shall not fret. I can do it again.
