a stroll through the neighborhood

themenow, I finished reading "Roll of Thunder, Here my Cry." Thank you so much for recommending it to me. It was amazing. I've added it to my list of books to read aloud to the kids.

The sun shone today! At one point, there was a very light dusting of snow falling but because the sun was shining it looked like glitter floating in the air. As much as I complained about snow last week, I am glad we're here to have this experience. I've never seen glitter floating to the earth, falling from the sky before :)
