Dec. 10th, 2007 10:09 amThis morning we all got bundled up and out in the snow early, with plenty of time to play before school started. It was a great way to kick off the day, plus the kids shoveled the walks and I had the car warmed up by the time we needed to leave!
I'm slowly realizing that my car is awesome when it comes to driving in snow. I've rarely slipped, skidded or spun out. I have to say, what a blessing! We bought that van in Florida this summer before thoughts of snow had even entered our mind. We didn't even factor it in. And then, we arrive in Spokane and realize that almost everyone here drives a Subaru (can you say all-wheel-drive?) However, I feel so fortunate that the van handles so well.
The house is trashed this morning. I am determined not to sweat it, just tackle one thing at a time. Monday is always the recover-from-the-weekend day. No big deal, right? Right.
I bought presents for the boys' teachers today. Small picture frames, lotion, and chocolate all in an embroidered felt bag. I really loved the bag and just shopped around for some cute knick knacks to fill it with. Well, that's one thing done and out of the way that I won't need to stress about any longer.
I'm sending out Christmas cards this week. If you'd like one, email me your address at vulcangirl@gmail.com. I love sending them, so don't be shy!
