I'm very sick to my stomach right now. Perhaps something I ate? I hope it's gone in the morning. I hate feeling like this.

I know this isn't related, but yesterday I ate some pig stomach. I had made a decision to avoid organs if at all possible while I was here. I just don't like the idea of it. We were eating lunch at Nanny Wang's home (this is Mariannette's nanny) and she had prepared a huge feast for us. I tried most of the food on the table. There was a plate of chicken in front of me that a claw in it. The whole time we're eating, this large black claw kept attracting my attention. I tend not to eat things that I don't know what they are. Let's be honest, in China you can't just assume every meat your eating is either beef, chicken or pork. It could be dog, snake or donkey. There's just no way of knowing unless you ask. Well, Mariannette and Rene had eaten some of this pig stomach before me and she said "oh, it's a mushroom" while he said "wow, that's good." I like mushrooms, so I picked up a peice and put it in my mouth. You may wonder how I could mistake pig stomach for mushrooms, but be assured it is possible. There are so many, many more varieties of mushrooms here than in the States. I really like that too, because I've discovered all sorts of new fungi that I love. My point is that not all mushrooms look like that traditional toadstool. Some are very very long and thin while others are black, flat and rubbery. However, the moment I popped the pig stomach in my mouth I knew it wasn't a mushroom. For one, I couldn't bite through it. My teeth just bounced off. I chewed it as best I could and swallowed it pretty much whole.
