Oct. 11th, 2006 05:17 amWe had another BYU couple over for dinner last night. I'm trying to invite a different person for dinner every week or two, just to get to know everyone a little better. Plus, they live in tiny hotel-roomed-sized apartments, and I know they don't get to cook real meals. Most of them just have hot plates, so I like to cook for them. The couple who came last night, Ally and Taylor, are also Connor's sunday school teachers.
They brought their puppy with them! It's a tiny fluffy ball of fur named Scout. I didn't tell them they'd stolen my daughter's name (if there ever is a daughter). The boys just loved that puppy, particularly Petey. After dinner we went down to the playground so both the boys and Scout could get some energy out. Petey was carrying Scout everywhere with him, under his arm like a football. Scout was so patient with the kids, just letting them do whatever. The kids did good, they were real gentle with him. It was super cute. Personally, I don't like full grown Pomeranians, but WOW are the puppies cute :)
I've got a cold and it's a whopper. Isn't that how it always goes? We leave for our trip to Beijing tomorrow night. I don't want to be sick on a trip :(
