I've stayed up much to late tonight. Must go to sleep...

Petey received another birthday gift today. This one came from Mariannette and family. She bought him to goldfish and a huge goldfish bowl. The fish are named "gold" and "hammer". Hammer is a black googly eyed type of fish. I think Gold will be one of those brain type, once he gets bigger. Both these type of gold fish sort of weird me out, to be honest. I like fish whose organs aren't protruding from their bodies. I went with Mariannette to pick them out, and I kept trying to steer her towards more mundane fish, but she really wanted the googly eyed kind. Hey, it was her gift and I won't complain. I'm sure I don't need to mention that Petey LOVES it. Perhaps once we get moved to our more permanent home we can get a bigger tank.

OH!! one last thought: We downloaded the season premier of The Office. I loved it, loved it, loved it! I want to say something to all my LOST buddies: don't put spoilers in your LJ!!! Please, puh-lease put them behind a cut. It takes us almost 24 hours to download a show and they don't even put them up on iTunes until the next day. You guys will know what happens almost 2 days before I do. Don't spoil it for me, I beg of you!! Thank you.

Yours, in LOST-ness,
Tina

My day was wonderfully uneventful :) Megan arrived at 9:45; Chris and I left at 10. We spent the whole day on campus, returning back home around 5:00. I just wanted a chance to explore the campus somewhat and see it for myself. Everyone is always complaining about how far away it is, how isolated it is, and how bad the cafeteria food is. I don't know, maybe it's because I lived on a dirt road in backwoods Alabama for several years, but it doesn't seem too far away or isolated to me. It has isn't in the middle of a huge city, but rather it's located in the country side. There are trees and grass all around. The campus is closed to most cars, buses and bikes so there is virtually no traffic or traffic noise. It was so quiet there and I could actually see the blue sky! The sky over Nanjing is permanently greyish from the pollution. I also had a chance to stroll through the unfinished faculty housing. It will be the largest apartment we've ever lived in. I'm really looking forward to moving out there.
