I joined flickr and am in love with it already. If you have an account, let me know and I'll add you. I found some of you already :) At the trailhead, there was a tent set up with several animals on display. The man was a Desert Naturalist. He had 6 turtles in this enclosure that the kids could get into and play with the turtles. Zack was thrilled, of course. Today he told me that he wants to be scientist so "he can see the future."

I took this shot to show how rocky the trail is. I get such a good work out when I hike this trail. Zack loved it on the way up. On the way back, he slipped on a loose rock and fell flat on his bottom. Always my little drama king, he screamed his head off. I was glad no one else was around. He wasn't hurt badly, just a few scratches on his leg.
