Attack of the cactus
Feb. 15th, 2006 05:48 pmSo much for an uneventful day! I took the boys back to the state park and Connor ended up with cactus spines in his leg. After I pulled all the spines out of his leg, I had to carry him all the way back down the trail to the car. He kept screaming "Oww!". Poor baby! Thankfully, these were the type of spines that are firm enough to be removed, and not the tiny ones that break off under your skin. He was ok as soon as I had removed them all.
I must have looked odd, hiking while carrying a barefoot baby in a diaper (I took his pants and shoes off to make sure all the spines were removed). I was almost tempted to explain myself to everyone that I walked past, but I didn't. I'm just glad all is well.
