I'm posting this in honor of my dad. As I was growing up, he told me the funniest stories about dragonflies. They've always held a certain fascination for me. Here are a couple of his stories:
When he was a little boy, he believed the old wives tale that dragonflies could sew your mouth shut. Whenever a dragon fly flew near him, he would hold his mouth open as wide as he could, to make sure the dragonfly couldn't sew his lips together.
The next story takes place when my dad was much older. Some of his friends dared him to eat a dragonfly in exchange for $5. My dad ate one! Of course, his buddies never paid him. He always told me that the wings were really crunchy :o)
