skewed priorities
Mar. 9th, 2005 02:53 pmMy wonderful MIL called today. She had her first appointment with the oncologist. He told her they don't treat Lymphoma unless the patient has symptoms. And why, you may wonder, do they take such a lax attitude towards lymphoma? Because, as the doctor told her, they can't beat it. He told her she had 6 or 7 years. This woman is the best person I know. She is beloved to all who know her. I know, all my sadness is selfish. Can you believe she was actually trying to reassure me when she heard me crying. My hubby doesn't know the prognosis yet. He's still at school.
