I'm listening to the last LOST podcast of the season and they have mentioned a few things that may be interesting to other Lost fans:
Cut for potential spoilers.
One of the issues raised was the monster. Have the writers just forgot about the monster? Where did it go? The answer they gave was that we did see the monster this season, but we just didn't realize that we saw it. Also, we are going to learn much more about the monster in season 3.
The island became visible (detectable?) for a moment with the electro magnetic overload. It was also visible when the plane crashed (remember the portuguese guys said "we missed it again.) It sounds like Desmond is not dead and will be back next season.
Next season there will be no LOST reruns. Instead, they will show several new episodes in a row, and then take a 12 week break. When the show comes back on, it will run until the end of the season with no reruns. That's cool, although it doesn't affect me much because I won't be watching it in China! I'm hoping I'll be able to download it.
We'll find out where the Others "home" is at the beginning of season 3. Also season 3 will be a lot about what is happening to Kate, Sawyer and the doctor (whose name I am totally blanking for some reason). We'll find out how Locke got in the wheelchair and where Jack got his tatoos. Jack! That's his name :)

Date: 2006-05-30 05:52 pm (UTC)From the season finale I got that Desmond was the one that crashed the plane because he entered the numbers late and I got from the Portuguese guys that Desmond's missing entry is what caused their again from the "we missed it again" statement. What I want to know is if this kind of thing is the incident that the guy on the orientation film mentioned. Did this happen before and thats how Rousseau got to the island OR did that incident lead to the ankle and four toed foot statue.

I wonder if Mr. Eko's brother's plane also went down because of a magnetic incident...and the hot airballon, too. What about the slave ship? It must have landed well before the darhma initiative began. So mysterious...I love it!
