I found a baby bird this morning. I think it must have been born this morning, it is so teeny tiny. I picked it up and put it in a box, because I couldn't stand the thought of it frying to death on the hot sidewalk. I even mashed up a green pea and fed it to him. I'm not sure what to do. I can't put it back in the next because the nest is on the roof of our two story apartment building. I even asked the maintance guy if he'd put it back, using his ladder but he said no (because the mom won't have anything to do with it now that I've touched it.) I'm not sure if that's true, but whatever. So, I guess I'll be feeding this poor baby until it passes.

Do any of you have experience with raising baby birds? Any advice would be appreciated :)

Yes i have heard that a mama bird will not take it back after a person has touched it. I have no other knowledge to help you though.
