Cell phones. I hate when someone is on an earpiece, walking along looking like their talking to themselves. How do they stand all the double takes, other people wondering if they're talking to them? Perhaps it's some sort of power trip.
I also dislike people who talk on their cell phones when they drive. It scares me.
I'm so unplugged in when it comes to cell phones. We just have a pay-as-you go phone that always has minutes left when the time runs up. We rarely use it and I only have it in case the kids' school needs to get in touch with me while I'm out and about. Still, there certainly are times I wish Chris and I both had one, but nothing critical has ever come up. We survive just fine without.

Date: 2009-03-08 03:09 pm (UTC)And I hate texting. I like texting when it's appropriate, but just seeing all these kids plugged in and texting like mad, I'm thinking, "What, what are you doing that is soooo important?" Last night at dinner there was a group of girls and in the middle of their dinner one of them makes a call then loudly invites the person on the other end to her wedding on July 21st. It was so rude, not just to the girls she was with, but to the rest of us diners trying to enjoy our evening. We left shortly there after. Our waiter was weird too. Kind of reminded me of the Sham-Wow commercial guy.
