Has anyone made/run across any super cute homemade ornaments this year?

Good question. Although I don't think Mike would be at all favorable. I went through this thing a few years ago when I would attempt these Martha Stewart oranament making projects. Total fail. Oh they were just awful *lol*!! I think if he knew that I was trying to make some more ornaments he'd run screaming from the house...

wait...I do have a project involving starfish and glitter. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I can just see Petey's reaciton: You expect me to decorate a dead sea creature!? It reminds me of the spongebob movie, where they travel to a tourist shack filled with dead sea creatures (like porcupine fish) that have google eyes glued on or have been made into lamps.

*lol* Well, it's not quite like that *lol*. Just don't tell Petey. Or maybe I should make one with googly eyes and send it to you so you can give it to Petey?

I have these two really pretty white long legged starfish. I want to brush this fine powder over them. I have to find the powder - it was something I had used back when I tried my hand at stamping. The powders were so pretty - all shiney and colorful. I wanted to do a blue starfish and a red starfish.

Is it the same sort of powder they use for embossing? That's what your description makes me think of. Beautiful stuff!

I thought it was when I bought it, but it's not for embossing. You still use a clear stamp pad and then put the powder on the ink. You just don't heat it up for embossing look. It is pretty.
