I really am a silly girl. I've let that random stranger's opinion that I have no life affect my journal writing efforts. I feel shy about writing, afraid that anything I write will be ridiculous and boring. I shall put it all behind me and get back to chronicling my existence, no matter what any one thinks of it :)

Saturday evening was heavenly. So, so wonderful. Chris and I went on our long anticipated night out on the town. We ate dinner at Mizuna. It cost a pretty penny but was quite worth the expense. Naturally, I neglected to take my camera so alas, I have no beautiful photos to share. It was so yummy. The service was quick and attentive, and the atmosphere was quite intimate. We had a blessedly quiet meal with no children around. I've gotten to the point where I feel very thankful when other people's children don't bother me in these situations. I don't mean to say that other peoples' children always bother me, but sometimes when I am trying to enjoy peace and quiet away from my own, I am thankful for time away from all kids in general. Dessert was the best. I ordered cherry, pistachio and bread pudding with chantilly cream. Chris and I started singing "Chantilly Lace" as we waited for our food to arrive. Good times :)

After we finished up dinner, we still had a while before the show started so we walked around downtown for a bit. Spokane has a very lovely downtown area. Much of the architecture is done in the art deco style, which makes for interesting sight seeing, imho. Unfortunately, I was trying to dress up for the evening and I wore open-toed shoes and no coat. I was a tad bit cold, to say the least. Not freezing, as the weather is warming up somewhat, but I still would have been more comfortable with my coat on. I also felt like I had to walk around with my tummy sucked in the whole evening. I would have been able to hide that if I'd had my coat on! Oh well, I got a good abs work out by the end of the evening.

The show was amazing. I laughed until my stomach hurt (of course, that might have been the ab work out...), till my cheeks hurt and tears were coursing down my cheeks. It was hilarious torture, lol! Aside from the comedic genius of Brian Regan, we were also introduced to the very funny Kermit Apio. I find it very refreshing when comedians don't have to resort to dirty jokes or bad language to make their audience laugh. Both Brian and Kermit keep it clean and have their audiences rolling in the aisles.

And perhaps the best part was that we came home to a clean home and the kids sleeping soundly in bed.

Honestly, this will probably go down in history as one of our best dates every!
