Diet blues

I am still sticking to the new healthy life style, but I am really starting to mourn the loss of my old one. It takes a lot of extra work to cook healthy for every meal! Also, finding time to exercise on a regular basis is a real challenge. For example, last night I went to Jazzercise which meets from 5:45 to 6:45 pm. I got home around 7. Zack still had home work to do, Pete was in desperate need of a bath and Connor was just begging for attention. Plus, I still had dinner to make! I did cook the healthy meal I had planned, but I didn't get to eat it until after Connor was asleep and Pete had his bath. Then I helped Zack do his homework while I ate. That went badly too, because he is a perfectionist when it comes to homework. He gets quite frustrated if his drawings don't look like he wants them to. Needless to say, I really felt like giving up last night and tearing into the bag of mini snickers I had bought for the kids easter baskets. However, I didn't have to because sweet Chris went out and got me some low fat ice cream bars (I think they were weight watchers. It was wonderful.)

Also, I have over-booked myself for this week. I signed up to help with the Book Fair at Zack's school and it is taking up a large amount of my time. I haven't gotten to do any school work and I have stuff due soon. I'm babysitting this afternoon, so the house will soon be trashed. I wish I could just take a nap. Maybe that is what I will do right now, since the other kids don't get here for a couple hours. Everything else can wait while I attempt to regain my sanity.
