I'm up to page 146 in The Half Blood Prince. I didn't go out and get it last night, but I did first thing this morning. I'm enjoying it so much. It has many of the aspects I've often wanted to see in her books. I won't say more because I certainly don't want to spoil anything for anyone.
My frustration lies in the fact that I have to share the book with Chris. I have a strong urge to be totally selfish with it. I want to lock myself away until I finish it, and I'd like to be undisturbed for that whole time. I know, I know. I'm daydreaming. Maybe I've been to Fred and George's joke shop and purchased one...
We try to read it together, but I read much faster than he does. Besides that fact, someone has to take care of the kids, lol.

Date: 2005-07-18 11:40 am (UTC)I feel the same way. I know I could get through that book in a day or two if Mike would just let me! But he gets jealous *lol* and begs me profusely to just read it together with him.
So that's what we're doing. I want to talk to people about it and I'm so wishing I could say, "I'm Done!" but that's not gonna happen for awhile. Oh well...at least I have some of the adventure left.
Reading a Harry Potter book for the first time is like getting kissed for the VERY first time - kisses afterward are fantastic but there's nothing like the very first time.
