I've finished my paper on the Taiwan Straits Crisis of 1958. I turned it in 8 days late. Fortunately I have a very kind and understanding professor in this class.

I will now spend the rest of the day getting the house sparkling clean for pearlgirl8's visit. I 'm so excited your coming!! I have all these great ideas about stuff we can do while you're here!

-go to a Christmas tree farm and cut down our tree. We haven't had a real tree in years so I really want to do this.
-go to the River Front park and ride the 100 year old antique carosel. Are you too old to ride a carosel? If so, we can let the kids do it. They also have a free horse and carriage ride that would be fun.
-go to the movies and see "Enchanted". I know, it's a kids movie, but I never get to do girly things like this. If I don't go see it with you, I'll never have an excuse to see it!
-and of course, cook, cook, cook!! I may do a pie or two today to get a head start on the baking.

It sounds like you guys are going to have a lot of fun. Take a lot of pictures of your adventures. How long is she staying with you?

I think I might try my hand at an apple pie. From scratch. I'd have to give it away as soon as I made it. I could keep a slice for myself since it isn't one of my trigger foods. But yeah, I'm in the mood to do some baking too. It's that time of year I guess. *lol*

You don't have to clean for me. I can clean for you. I actually like cleaning and am going to before I leave. I would LOVE to ride a 100 year old carosel and I like kid movies. Mom and Dad are getting an artificial tree so at least I'll get to see a real tree. And I'm so excited to cook!!!!!!!! I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!1
