1. Total number of Books I Own
Hmmm, I'll estimate about 500. More than half of these are Chris' books and half of those I could never read because they are in Chinese. I don't usually keep my books. I either sell them or give them away. Also, I tend not to buy books in the first place. I'd much rather hit the library. We move so often that books just get heavy to tote around from state to state (and country to country!)
2. The Last Book I Bought
"The Cuban Missle Crisis" for class. Last book I bought for leisure was "Good Grief" by Lolly Winston. It was pure brain candy. I'm frankly a bit embarrassed to put it down as the last book I bought :)
3. The Last Book I Read
The official last book I read was "The Adventures of a Nose", which is a kids book. The last adult book I read was "The Handmaid's Tale" by Margaret Atwood. It is one of my science fiction class assigned books, but I read it before the semester because it looked so good. I was right, it was an amazing piece of sci-fi genius.
4. Five Books That Mean A Lot To Me
Ack, this is always a hard question for me to answer. It changes so often.
"The Princess Bride" because I read it so often that it fell apart.
"The Island of the Blue Dolphin" because it was my favorite book as a pre-teen.
"Ramona the Pest" because it was the first chapter book I ever read. I was immediately smitten with a love of reading.
"Pride and Prejudice"...do I really need to explain this one?
"The Book of Mormon" because my religious beliefs are such a huge part of who I am.
