lizzybennetI'm trying on a new lay-out. I like it.
We are back at MILs home. It is great to be here. The cousins were here and the kids played together all day and into the night. I even played "Hide and Sneak" with them (a game created by the brilliant imagination of Petey). We are headed to the beach this afternoon to gaze upon the awesome forces of nature. The ocean is always a magnificent sight to behold as hurricanes approach.

_bella_luna) is certain our flight will be canceled. I hope not. An evacuation notice has been issued to all non-residents. We're going to look into getting an earlier flight home.

Date: 2005-07-08 02:12 pm (UTC)I guess I keep thinking of Charley last year. All the weather folks made this projected path and then it totally went another way. They evacuated everyone from Tampa into Orlando and then it skipped Tampa altogether, hit Orlando, circled back and hit them again.
Mike should find out today if his weekend program at the university is cancelled or not. He's kind of hoping so - it's a 15 hour day of work with no day off to compensate for it. 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. He says that he doesn't want hurricane weather but he would love to be out of that program.
