Beijing night market

As promised, I'm going to start catching up on my Beijing trip posts. I thought I'd start with my favorite pics first: the night market. This is a street in Beijing that is famous for it's exotic small eats. Vendor after vendor are lined up, all willing to sell you anything from banana donuts (sooo yummy) to grasshopper-kabobs. Ironically, even the Chinese think most of the food offered there is strange and they were taking just as many pictures as we were. In this picture, you see starfish, snake (Chris is pointing at the snake), octupus tentacles, and sea mushrooms (that's what they vendor called them. They are the black shiny things.)
Behind the cut you'll find the pic of me eating the scorpion. I'm putting this warning here for you,

I'd been psyching myself up all day to eat this thing. I just knew I had to do it, for some reason. Chris and I went with one of the students, a Japanese kid named Yo. We bought a kabob of three small scorpions and all had one. They tasted just like a Frito Lay! They were deep-fried, salted and cruchy. There really wasn't anything too gross about it. We didn't eat the stingers :) Chris kept finding bits and peices of scorpion stuck in his teeth for the rest of the night!
Well, photobucket is refusing to cooperate with me for the rest of the photos. What photo sites do you guys use? I like Flickr, but I don't know how to use it to post multiple images on one blog entry. What else is out there? I'll try again tomorrow. Seriously, I've been trying to upload photos all day! Frustrating!
