Last night I put Connor down to sleep around 8 p.m. and then laid the big boys down an hour later. We are all sleeping in the same room. I laid with the boys for a while (Connor was already asleep) and told them a story about a friendly dragon. Then, when they seemed to be on the verge of sleep, I got up and took a shower. I didn't have a chance in the morning. While I'm in the bathroom, I begin to hear Zack and Pete getting louder and louder. Finally, Pete comes running down the hall way yelling that Zack was pinching his cheeks. I get out of the shower, and get them resettled into bed. Connor wakes up from all the commotion, so I took him downstairs, hoping to rock him back to sleep while the big boys fall asleep. Next thing I know Zack is running down the stairs yelling that Petey bit him on the butt. Sure enough, Pete bit him so hard that he left a crescent shaped bruise! Pete claims he had to bite Zack because Zack was yelling into his ear. Zack claims he had to yell into his ear because Pete wouldn't stop talking. Finally I just laid up there with all three of them and they went to sleep. That was around 10:30. I ended up going to bed for the night too.
I haven't had any down time from the kids in over two days. That's ok, though. I did have lots of time to read yesterday (I'm working on Big Stone Gap) and I got to sleep in until almost 9 this morning. That is a rare treat indeed!
Now it is off to the park.

I used to be a biter - well, when I was little like Petey - I bit my mom and she bit me back. I never did bite her again.
