Sep. 28th, 2009 04:52 pmFor the first time since I started working at for the realty co., I actually had enough work to fill my day. Ironic, as I brought my macbook and two textbooks to work in hopes of studying.
Max has an odd looking red bump on his leg. We have a lot of wildlife in our back yard which is one of the things that I love about Florida: doves, squirrels, frogs, lizards, newts, and various stinging insects. I think maybe a wasp got him and he might be slightly allergic. The other night he started barking like crazy at something in the front yard and when I looked out, I saw a rat the size of a cat running down our driveway. Upon further reflection, I realized that it must have been a possum. Whatever it was, it was big and had a hairless tail, and it was running away from my house. Yay Max!
I have an odd neighbor. I can't tell if he is odd in a creepy way, or odd in a slightly-handicapped-harmless way. He sort of freaks me out. I told my dad about my neighbor while he was visiting this weekend and the next thing I knew I was the proud owner of a fresh can of pepper spray. I've never owned a weapon-esque thing before. I gave the kids a stern talking to about never, ever, ever playing with it. So far so good.
Did I mention that almost everyone gave Petey Bionicles for his birthday? Six of them, and miraculously not one duplicate. He spent a long time putting them together. He's a happy boy. He also got a harmonica from Chris dad and wow, does he love that thing. Actually, they all love it and they keep trying to sneak it away from Petey without him noticing. The tricky part lays in the fact that they can't play it without him noticing straight away :) Good times.
