Aug. 12th, 2007 10:35 amWe're in Missoula, Montana which is only about 3 hours from Spokane. We didn't mean to be this far this morning, but it turns out that Montana seems to have a shortage of hotel rooms. Every single hotel we stopped at, all along the way was booked full. In Billings, where we planned to spend the night and which is located in the Eastern part of the state, they said they were full because of the State Fair. They told us to drive to Bozeman which is midway through the state. Needless to say, we practically crossed the whole dang state looking for a vacancy but there was no room in the inn.
We bought a couple sleeping bags and the kids just crashed in the car. Chris and I took turns driving as far as we could before we were too exhausted to go further and then we parked at a rest stop to snooze for the rest of the night.
I can't wait to get to Spokane. I'm so glad we'll be there at a decent time and will perhaps be able to scope out houses for rent today too.
I have much to tell, and many pics, but this will have to be it for now. We're sitting in the parking lot at Cracker Barrell, stealing wireless from the C'mon Inn.
