Zack's turn
May. 28th, 2005 03:23 pmNow that Connor is recovered from his bought of flu, it appears to be Zack and me's turn. Zack woke up this morning around 4 p.m. with a fever. I set him up comfy cozy on the couch and got some tylenol for him. He has always hated taking medicine, but he's now old enough to realize that it is good for him and something he must force himself to do. He tried his best, but he promptly gagged it all out. Tylenol suspension is very sticky. The medicine ended up all over him, me, the blankets and pillows. At least he isn't vomiting, just laying around feeling rotten. I haven't thrown up either. I just have chills and a headache.
Chris has been busy cleaning all day. Perhaps with me out of commission he feels more inspired to clean. He got out the carpet cleaner and did the living room and dining room. It looks awesome. It will be nice to come home from vacation to a clean house. With only a week left, we are all starting to get anxious for our visit to Alabama and Florida. Chris has everything set for his three weeks in China, too. His passport and visa are all set up. He has even made some reservations. He plans to have a very set itinerary so that I will know exactly what he is doing everyday he's there. Since he is traveling alone, we feel this is a critical safety measure for him to take. He has many wonderful things planned: the National Archives in Taiwan, the Dragon Boat festival in Hong Kong, the Shaolin monks - just to name a few. In some ways, I wish I was going with him. It would be so fun if just the two of us could take off together for three weeks. But I had to choose - a trip to China or a trip home to visit my family. I'd rather go see my mommy and daddy. China can wait for now.
