Catalina Fire

lizzybennetMy State Park is on fire. Chris saw a news banner flash across the TV screen that Catalina State Park had 10 acre fire. That is only 5 miles from our house, so we jumped in the car and drove up to take a look. We parked just inside the turn off and took a few pictures. None of them turned out well because it was already dark.
Catalina State park is where I hike at least once a week. It is the park where I first discovered my love of hiking. I really hope the fire doesn't destroy the whole park. This is a tragedy -- especially because there is no doubt that this was caused by human carelessness. I certainly hope it wasn't arson.
