I've read that there are more people killed, maimed or otherwise injured in China than anywhere in the world. There aren't that many rules and Chinese drivers do not yeild no see the need to yeild to pedestrians. They see it as up to the pedestrian to avoid collisions. If there are two accidents between vehicles, the larger one is usually considered at fault. Cars drive in the rt. of the road but that doesn't mean that they can't drive on the left side at times. Bicycles ride on both sides of the road. Accidents are often not reported to authorities and damages bargained according to status and class distinctions. Bill
